Today CT TyMetrix, along with CT Summation and Kluwer Law International—all Wolters Kluwer businesses—announce the launch of the U.K. Legal Industry Thought Leader Seminar Series. The Continuing Professional Development series will address many of the legal industry's most challenging issues in the United Kingdom, including better understanding of the current best practices in progressive law department management.

Participants will have an opportunity to meet some of the foremost authorities in the industry. An added benefit to legal professional attendees is qualification for Continuing Professional Development Credits from the Bar Standards Board. The seminars will take place starting in October 2007 through March 2008 at One Aldwych, one of London's most exclusive hotels. More information and registration details can be found at www.cttymetrix.co.uk.

The Legal Industry Thought Leader Seminar topics include:

  • International Arbitration
  • Legal Spend Management and Effective Panel Counsel Management
  • Electronic Disclosure best practices
  • Emerging trends in data privacy and storage
  • Compliance Strategies for Law Departments and Law Firms
To kick-off the event, CT TyMetrix is holding a reception open to law firms and law departments at the Dali Universe Exhibit at County Hall Gallery on September 11, 2007 from 6:30PM to 8:30PM.

Ongoing U.K. Expansion

The seminar series follows closely the recent announcement from CT Summation of the acquisition of DocuLex's Discovery Cracker -- the world's leading electronic disclosure processing software. As a continuation of its commitment to the litigation professional and the U.K. market place, the company also announced plans to expand direct sales and marketing of the entire CT Summation product suite to the United Kingdom. This includes Discovery Cracker, Summation iBlaze (desktop solution), Summation Enterprise (enterprise-wide solution) and Summation CaseVault (hosted/ASP support).

"Our Seminar Series is another significant step in expanding our U.K. litigation practice and better serving our clients on a global level," said Tom Rump, vice president of Litigation Solutions for Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services. "The series demonstrates our continued commitment to providing education for litigation professionals, along with unique and comprehensive solutions, such as Discovery Cracker with CT Summation."

Earlier this year, CT TyMetrix also announced the opening of its U.K.-based offices in order to better serve clients addressing the challenges of managing outside counsel legal spend on a global scale.
